For a car or truck
The year, make and model, and what it is actually doing. A noise, a warning light, a pull to one side, whatever brought you in. That is enough for us to start the free estimate before you even arrive.
For a boat
The hull and the engine, plus what stopped working or what you want done before it goes back in the water. The same crew that works on cars handles the marine side, so give us the same level of detail either way.
